Higher flatness accuracy means less light loss and less light scatter. Therefore the reflection will also be sharper. For more demanding applications that require a sharper image, we offer ¼ lambda enhanced aluminium front mirrors. They are coated with a metallic aluminium base and protected with multiple layers of dielectric film on top. This increases the overall reflectance and also protects the metallic aluminium from oxidation and scratching, resulting in higher optical quality and better durability . Our standard Enhanced Aluminum is ideal for applications requiring increased reflectance from 400-650nm with >95% reflectance in the visible.
High reflectance front mirrors are commonly used at a 45 degree AOI for bending the light path of an image. We are able to provide round, square, elliptical and rectangular shapes in various different thicknesses.
